New <ID i-slick Gloss

I picked up this little number (New <ID’s i-slick gloss) because of its applicator. It’s something a bit different but, unfortunately, not a good kind of different.

Whereas usual gloss sticks are nimble enough to allow for the lip line to be easily followed, this applicator is rather hefty which makes it difficult to be accurate when applying. Outcome: a lop sided, smeary pout!

Applicator aside, the colour of this gloss is GREAT. I have it in Decadence, which on the internet store appears to be purplely…it’s actually more of a reddy plum. It’s deep pigments make it perrrrfect for girls that want that vibrant colour without the commitment of the colour coverage of lipstick.

That said, to pow that pout in the evening I’ve been wearing the i-slick gloss over my fav matte vampy lipstick, Rimmel’s Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss in shade 107 . It’s an intense colour, extreme shine look that’s not for the faint hearted, but if you can conjure up the courage it leaves lips looking totally gorgy glam (see pic below).

At £18.50 the i-slick gloss is no cheapy and, although its colour intensity is insane, the applicator lets it down. I think there is better out there for less mons.

P.S. in case you’re wondering, you twist the bottom in order to push gloss up to the applicator!
